Unfortunately, for financial reasons, my passion project “L.M. Montgomery Spirit of Place” will not be able to be presented this year.

The "L.M. Montgomery Spirit of Place" project explores the poetry of Lucy Maud Montgomery through my paintings and creates a bridge between her writing and those of current PEI writers, For me, this show is both a homage to L.M. Montgomery, who was a pioneer for women working in the creative arts on PEI, and a celebration of the many incredible creative women from PEI who have carved out a creative artistic career for themselves here. L.M. Montgomery helped to put PEI on the map, and her works, perseverance, and success have inspired many women, including me, to enter a career in the arts. Over 100 years later, L.M. Montgomery’s legacy lives on, and I am so excited to share the brand new paintings and writings that L.M. Montgomery’s poetry has inspired.

In order to make this project a reality, I still need to raise additional funds to cover the unexpected costs (license of occupation, insurance, language translation, etc.) that have come up since the original budget was created for this project prior to a global pandemic!
